In the polo pool Aaron becomes a Shaw thing

ROCKHAMPTON Grammar School student Aaron Shaw has gone from an innocent bystander to a young member of the Capricornia secondary schools boys water polo team.

Shaw, still a Year 7 student at Grammar, was selected in trials at the Rockhampton Grammar School pool on Sunday.

He will be eligible for the State titles which are contested on the Sunshine Coast from March 2-5 next year.

Aaron was only poolside to watch his brother Ben Shaw, a Year 9 student at Grammar, trial.

"He's very quick off the mark,'' St Ursula's teacher Shannon Maguire said.

Rockhampton players in the 19 years Capricornia team were: (girls) Georgia Dunn, Sarah Connolly (RGS), Ashleigh Doble (TCC), Brodie Pitman (St Ursula's); (boys) Ben Read, Ben Shaw, Aaron Shaw and Brad McLucas (RGS).
