Injury affects Porter?s bid

? COMETS match-winner Scott Porter has the weight of Central Queensland on his shoulders.

Porter, 21, is under a major in- jury cloud for Sunday's round three Queensland Wizard Cup away clash to Redcliffe.

The goalkicking playmaker suf- fered a shoulder injury when scoring a try in the Comets' groundbreaking victory against Burleigh last weekend.

While Porter is racing the clock to prove his fitness, Peter Penaia and Aaron Sweeney are free to play despite being charged with grade-one careless high tackles.

The front-row enforcers avoid- ed suspension yesterday with early guilty pleas.

Injured fullback Wade Rothery (hamstring) was not named but could return against Redcliffe.

Comets ? Jimmy McConachy, Dallas Williams, McConkie Tauasa, Odell Manuel, Anthony Toby, Scott Porter, Denny Lam- bert, Aaron Sweeney, Herewini Rangi, Kris- tian Mene, Tyron Haynes, Andrew Dale, Wayne Barnett, Peter Penaia, Marty Oborn, Mick Esdale, Jade Wogand.

Redcliffe ? Ryan Cullen, Alywn Simp- son, Greg Bourke, Nick Emmett, Adam Fletcher, Marty Turner, Shane Perry, Adam Starr, Michael Roberts, Pat Gardner, Grant Flugge, Danny Burke, Shannon Fish, Chris Fox, Duane O'Grady, Damien Jentz, Ge- rard Parle.
