Injury squashes dream

? ROCKHAMPTON school teacher Peter Cameron is the deserved recipient of a Squash World life member- ship, but he remains a frus- trated man.

Cameron is restricted to coaching the centre's junior players these days after knee surgery about three months ago ended his playing days.

"It's been really difficult to stay off the court, but when I'm coaching I try to hit a few balls,'' Cameron said.

Cameron first joined the Rockhampton Squash Centre about 12 years ago after Rock- hampton's Ambassador Club closed down.

He was immediately made to feel welcome at his new club ? on his first visit he was voted in as junior pres- ident.

Cameron only started play- ing squash regularly when he moved to Rockhampton in 1984.

Prior to that he was teach- ing at Anakie State School, on the Gemfields, and used to play Sunday afternoon squash in Emerald.
