Jockey club?s sponsors? race in the barriers
THE Rockhampton Jockey Club has launched a new promotion titled the $100,000 Rockhampton Gold Cup 2006 "100 Club'' which proposes to lure an extra "hundred grand'' in sponsorship dollars for the race club.
The concept requires individuals or businesses to buy $1000 packages from the RJC whereby only 100 sponsorship tickets are sold.
Each member of the 100 Club is guaranteed a sponsorship prize with the basic package listed in value at $2000 which incorporates naming rights of a race, race-day signage, media advertising as well as complimentary admission and members' tickets.
Prizes from the fifth prized ticket drawn down to the winner at a gala black-tie dinner at the Frenchville Sports Club on April 28, rise in sponsorship package value whereby the major prize is listed by the RJC at a value of $55,000.
RJC promotions officer Russell Leonard said this included the naming rights to the $100,000 Rockhampton Gold Cup on Saturday, June 10 this year.
