Jonassens keep parents on move



ROCKHAMPTON'S Jonassen family is preparing to embark on some busy school holiday sporting commitments on Saturday.

Sisters Jessica and Laura are heading south with Jessica playing in the Greg Norman Junior Masters at the Coolangatta Tweed Heads Golf Club, starting on Monday, while Laura is hitting the Chandler pool in Brisbane for the Queensland State Age Swimming Championships.

So who are Laura and Jessica Jonassen?

Age: 15

Event: State Age and Open Championships (15 years girls 100m breaststroke representing Caribeae club)

Goal at this event: Swim to the best of my ability and swim a better time. My PB (personal best) is 1.27.

What like most about the sport: I like meeting new people and seeing my friends.''

If not this sport, what would you play: Not sure, maybe netball.

Favourite sportsperson: I like most sportspeople. I don't have a favourite swimmer.

What like most about the sport: Socialising, especially with different people.
