Juniors deliver some hot form

WHILE the majority of Central Queenslanders were coming to grips with the hot and humid weather last weekend some Rockhampton junior cricketers remained full of energy.

At Kettle Park on Saturday in the under-9 division Frenchville produced 33 runs and five outs for a 6.6 average in their match against Bluebirds, who finished with a 4.16 average after making 25 runs for 6 wickets.

Making the most of their time at the crease for Frenchville were Kieren Duffin (9 runs, 0 outs), Steven Applewaite (5 runs, 0 outs), Ryan Hack (1 run, 0 outs) and Matthew Gardiner (1 run, 1 out).

In the Frenchville bowling ranks Applewaite (2/2), Kaleb Martin (1/0), Duffin (1/2) and Gardiner (1/3) had solid games.

Joining the runs for Bluebirds were Jaxson Pringle (10 runs, 0 outs), Duncan Acutt (4 runs, 0 outs), Ryan Kyriazis (2 runs, 0 outs) and Baden Todd (7 runs, 1 out).

Kyriazis (1/0), Robert Hill (1/5), Acutt (0/0) and Reid Sunderland (0/0) were the pick of the bowlers.
