Juniors set sights on State championships



? ROCKHAMPTON'S leading junior touch football players are preparing to take their first steps towards this year's State championships.

The Rockhampton Junior Touch Association's annual development day hits Cyril Connell Touch Fields on Sunday.

The day will involve skills and training drills in the morning before trials for under-11 to under17 boys and girls Rockhampton representative teams gets underway in the afternoon.

More than 150 kids are expected to attend the program, which starts at 9am.

Rockhampton teams will make their annual assault at this year's State championships at the Glasshouse Mountains, on the Sunshine Coast, from July 7-9.
