Juniors swing into State titles



GRACEMERE'S junior cricketers are continuing to hit out to new heights.

The club will send its largest ever number of junior cricketers to various State titles throughout Queensland next week.

Joining the Central Queensland under-12 team are Jock Purcell and Travis Duff, under13 representatives include Rhyce Philp, Josh Hamilton and Jack Madden, in the under-15s are Luke Johnstone, Brendan Hanschen and Calista Moffat.

The club's under-16 representatives are Mark O'Keefe and Jarvis Black.

Gracemere's junior cricket ranks continue to grow each year with the club fielding about 90 players in junior fixtures while a further 22 youngsters are pitting their skills in the club's Have-A-Go program.

The under-12 to under-15 age groups play their titles from Monday to next Friday while the under-16s hit the field from December 18 to 22.

This year's State titles are being played at the Gold Coast (under-12), Ipswich (under-13), Charters Towers (under-14), Bundaberg (under-15) and Brisbane (under-16).
