Living high on Valentine's surprise

IAN Jackson is living the high life in Brisbane after carrying out sweet revenge on his wife Sue yesterday afternoon at Rockhampton airport.

Mr Jackson was determined to pay his wife of six years back for her kidnapping efforts on Valentine's Day last year by carrying out his own abduction plan.

"She teed it up with one of the bosses ... and they kidnapped me last year telling me I was going to do a big job at Longreach,'' he said of last year's Valentine's Day present from his wife.

But it was not Longreach where Mr Jackson would spend Valentine's Day in 2005, but on a private plane headed towards Great Keppel Island.

"He found me in the back of the plane, with champagne and strawberries,'' Mrs Jackson giggled yesterday.

So yesterday, Mr Jackson decided to return the favour.

"I'm taking her down to Brisbane at the casino,'' he told The Morning Bulletin before his elaborate plan took place. "She has no idea what's going on.''

Mr Jackson's father had the job of kidnapping his unknowing wife and taking her to the airport.

"My father-in-law just picked me up and said 'quick here we go,' and then just dumped me at the airport,'' a still shocked Mrs Jackson said.

The couple met just over six years ago at a dating service.
