Man flashes himself to two women

By FRAZER PEARCE ? POLICE are hunting a flasher who allegedly exposed himself to two women and grabbed another by the arm in a South Rockhampton car park on Thursday.

One of the victims, a 19-year-old office worker, yesterday told The Morning Bulletin the man asked her to perform obscene sex acts after grabbing her arm in the under ground car park at City Centre Plaza about noon.

She said his grip wasn't strong and she was able to pull away and walk quickly to the shopping centre entrance, a distance of about 60 metres.

"My heart was racing,'' she said.

She didn't look back. After returning to her work place 25 about minutes later she rang police to report the incident.

"It was pretty scary,'' she said.

"I'm only 19 and I have never had to deal with anything like that before.''

The man is described as about 25 to 30 years of age, solid build, 170cm tall, short dark hair, wearing a white shirt and dark pants.

Sergeant Jock Beale yesterday said two other women had reported being flashed by a man while in the car park on Thursday.

"There is a predator on the loose,'' he said.

City Centre Plaza centre manager Jamie Sneyd said they were assisting police. They had increased surveillance of facilities.

Anyone with information is urged to call Rockhampton CIB 4932 1481 or Crimestoppers 1800 300 000.
