Masters title won by pin

ROCKHAMPTON tenpin bowling duo Dale Warren and Jessica Johnson have topped the field in this year's B&J Car Sales Anzac Day Handicapped Doubles Masters Tournament.

After seven rounds of competition, Warren and Johnson entered the finals stage unbeaten and met the in-form mother-and-daughter combination of Sue and Tiana Whalan, who had only recorded one loss.

The Whalans took out the decider 418 to 382 and, with one loss apiece, the challenge was issued to play the rematch of the final.

The rematch went down to the wire, with Warren and Johnson winning by just one point ? 417 to 416.

North Rockhampton Squash Bowl manager John McKenna said it was a great finale to the 21st year of running this tournament.
