Mather, Ludwig clash at meeting

LIVINGSTONE Shire Council's general meeting got off to a fiery start yesterday afternoon.

When Councillor Glenda Math- er started to speak about recom- mendations from a committee, she was told by Mayor Bill Lud- wig it had been referred to close session.

"Are you trying to gag me again?'' she said. "Suddenly it's closed because I want to speak about it.''

Cr Ludwig told Cr Mather that he would move a suspension against her unless she resumed her seat.

"Well Mr Chairman I will be taking this to the Minister,'' Cr Mather said.
