Michelle loves fast life

BEING in the thick of speedway action beats watching the event for Rockhampton's Michelle Persal.

After spending 12 months trying to convince her partner Justin Butcher to let her be a passenger in his super stocker car, Michelle was on the track for the third time last Saturday night.

"It took a lot of convincing, probably because of the safety thing, but it's something different, and exciting,'' Michelle said.

Michelle admits it was a little scary at first.

"I kept thinking what if we crash and I can't get out of the car,'' she said, now gradually pushing aside those initial fears.

Now that she has satisfied her curiosity Michelle is ready for more speedway races, even if it wasn't the way she had planned to spend New Year's Eve last weekend.
