Mooney runs into scoring blitz

? NORTHS flyer Denzel Mooney has confirmed his status as a try-scoring machine.

Mooney will be looking to add to his impressive start to the Rockhampton Junior Rugby League season when his under14 team tackles Yeppoon at Browne Park this Friday night.

In last week's action Mooney, playing in the centres, scored a hat-trick in Norths 34-8 win over Gracemere.

Also joining the round five attacking blitz was Gracemere under-15 playmaker Zac Moss who bagged a double and landed five goals in his team's 50-8 victory against Norths.

In the under-13s, fullback Michael Purcell crossed for two tries in Gracemere's 26-10 win over Norths.

However, defence was the order of the day in the match-ofthe-round between Gracemere and Norths under-17 teams.

Trailing for most of the match Gracemere produced a thrilling fightback to snatch a 20-16 victory.
