New Frenchville manager

ROCKHAMPTON'S Glen Egan is taking the next logical step towards building a career in the sports industry.

Egan, 20, has been appointed the new Frenchville Sports Club sports manager, replacing Justin Kilshaw who offi- cially leaves the position tomorrow.

This is a new role for Egan, who has spent the past 12 months at the Frenchville in roles including the duty man- ager while also working through his second year of university studies majoring in sports management.

Egan is still finding his feet in the early stages of his new role, but he wanted to make the most of the opportunity.

"I just love being around sport, it doesn't matter what sport,'' Egan said.

Egan's sporting background is impressive, even if he is too modest to recall his sporting feats, having gained selection in the Australian schoolboys touch football team and he has also played for the Australian under-20 universities rugby league team.

At the FrenchvilleSports Club, Egan will oversee 12 different sports.
