Outdoors expo a big drawcard

CRAB tying, net throwing and fish filleting were only some of the activities held at the Pine Beach Hotel Fishing, Boating and Outdoor Expo at Emu Park on the weekend.

Over 4000 people attended the expo featuring over 20 outdoor recreation stations and a variety of fun family oriented activities.

This was the fourth year the expo was held in Emu Park and it continues to grow in popularity each year, spokesman Rick Archer said.

"It was a fantastic two days,'' he said.

"It will definitely be coming back next year.'' Poor weather did not affect attendance.

"It was better than previous years,'' he said.
