Pair steers Buckaneers win

TWO touchdowns each to Clint and Ryan Withers led Buckaneers One to a commanding 8-2 win in Rockhampton Touch Association A-grade men's fixtures on Wednesday night.

The duo was once again in fine form at Cyril Connell Fields along with Andrew Baartz and Michael Devonshire, who also bagged doubles.

In the other A-grade game Bulldogs won on forfeit over 2 Deadly. B-grade men's action saw a somewhat controversial top-of-the-table clash between Cutters and Bulldogs.

Bulldogs had their chances to inflict Cutters' first defeat of the season but let the frustration of refereeing decisions get the better of them.

Cutters held on for a 5-4 victory with Clint Rothery scoring two touchdowns.

In the other B-grade men's game Prime Time romped to a 13-3 win over Turf Mulisha.

A-grade ladies action saw Courtney Williams and Lauren Dawson each snare doubles in Bulldogs' 7-nil thumping of Buckaneers Two. Turkeys posted a comprehensive 5-1 win over Buckaneers One.

Melita Williams led the way for Turkeys with a hattrick, while Amee Brown scored for Buckaneers.
