Panthers coach Ling is ready to lead way

THE high enthusiasm levels of the CQU Rockhampton Panthers Australian Football team has snared the services of last season's Yeppoon Swans coach Wayne Ling.

Panthers might have the best winning record in the AFL Capricornia league, but there are encouraging signs for the future with the club retaining the majority of last year's players and welcoming the return of players like Ben Kneen and Luke Cruwyz.

Ling was planning on hanging up the boots this season, after one season with a player- depleted Yeppoon outfit, until he was approached to join the Panthers club.

"They have a good attitude to training and the game and really want to learn,'' Ling said.

"I want to put as much knowledge in their heads as I can.'' The Panthers are training at the Rockhampton Cricket Grounds at 6pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
