Party poopers

MIDDLEMOUNT Panthers have their sights set on spoiling the Blackwater Crushers' grand final party at Hinricks Oval tonight.

The Panthers, this year's minor premiers, are chasing their first A-grade premiership since 2000.

In fact, the Panthers have played in eight grand finals since 1994, winning on just two of those occasions.

The Crushers are also aiming to shed their grand final hoodoo after losing last year's decider to the Emerald Cowboys at home.

Blackwater stunned Middlemount in the major semi-final to earn the right to again host the grand final. In the reserve grade decider, the Dysart Bulls face the Peak Downs Pirates.
