Paul fires Buckets into final

ROCKHAMPTON Rockets star Paul Scott has fired Uni Buckets into the Rockhampton Basketball division one men's grand final.

Scott scored a game-high 27 points in Uni Buckets' 70-65 major semi-final win over Legends at Hegvold Stadium on Wednesday night.

Fellow Rockets sharp-shooter Tony Campbell also hit 16 points for Uni Buckets, which included four three-pointers, while Legends' Tim Borg scored 18 points.

Legends now turn their attention towards a preliminary final clash with Swans next Wednesday night.

Swans kept their season alive with a 58-46 victory against Frenchville Panthers in the minor semi-final.

Greg Elson and Glenn Scott were the main destroyers for Swans, both scoring 18 points.

In the division one women's finals, Southside Toledo and Titans meet in next week's preliminary final with a grand final showdown with Frenchville Panthers on the line.

This year's grand finals are on Sunday, December 11.
