Police fear for Nicole?s safety

By LYNDAL GAWEN

ROCKHAMPTON police have set up a major incident room in the hope of finding missing person, Nicole Margaret Lieske, 33, of Rockhampton.

Detective Inspector Mick Nilands said that recent intelligence obtained by police made them fear for her safety.

"We hope that the person or persons that know the whereabouts of Nicole contact police or Crime Stoppers immediately,'' Inspector Niland said.

The woman was last seen on Christmas Day, 2004, when she spent time at her stepmother's house with her 12-year-old daughter.

The stepmother spoke to Miss Lieske once again on January 25, which is the last known date of contact with the mother, who also has two boys aged three and seven.

After not hearing from her for some months Miss Lieske's stepmother called Rockhampton police and reported her missing on March 25, Good Friday.
