Prescare has its 25th year

STAFF became the guests of honour at a 75th birthday party for Prescare in Rockhampton at the weekend.

Six staff had their years of service honoured at the birthday bash on Saturday, which celebrated the milestone of Prescare's aged care services in Queensland.

Prescare has been operating around the state for 75 years, and it has been in Rockhampton for about 28 years.

Annette Buntain had her 25 years of service honoured, Margo Jacobsen and Janice Richter were honoured for 20 years, Jane Setter was honoured for 15 years and Jill Hick, Shirley Pyne and Jill Twiner were all honoured for 10 years of service.

Alexandra Gardens care services manager Margaret Hoffmann said about 100 people had attended the celebrations on Saturday, which included entertainment, vintage cars, line dancing and a cake-cutting.
