HAVING swept aside the Cap- ricorn Country Club course re- cord, Melbourne's Alistair Pres- nell is preparing for more success on his first Queensland outing this week.

Presnell fired an impressive eight-under-par 63 to set a course record on his way to winning the Gary Thomasson Betta Electrical City of Rock- hampton Pro Am yesterday.

The 26-year-old held off a late charge from New Zealander Tony Christie, who vaulted into second place with a 65 in the 18- hole event.
