Rivalry ends in grand final

CLOSE rivals Buckaneers Blades and Wanderers will continue their premiership battle in tomorrow night's Rockhampton Netball Association Senior A division grand final.

Wanderers advanced to the decider after a 60-41 win over Runaways Diamonds in Wednesday night's preliminary final at Jardine Park.

An opening quarter burst set the platform for Wanderers, racing to a 15-7 lead, before sharpshooter Angela Horn made her mark on the game.

Horn dominated the shooting circle and was also effective in defence, creating turnovers for centre court players Kristin Lowry and Linda Sleeman to take full advantage.

Some "Bean Bombs'' from scoring machine Hayley Bean kept Runaways in the game, while defender Keanna Hopkins tried hard.
