Robertson outstanding in series

YEPPOON's William Robertson is continuing to produce winning form in the opening rounds of the Wide Bay Capricorn Branch Premiership Series.

Robertson, a member of the Yeppoon Surf Life Saving Club, captured the masters 40-49 years male board race double at round two at Agnes Water over the weekend.

Fellow Yeppoon masters competitor Jeffrey Blackburn also continued to impress early in the season winning the 40-49 years male surf race double over the two rounds.

Branch representative Matthew Cumming, of Yeppoon, claimed the senior male surf race and board race doubles.

In the younger age groups, Yeppoon's Miranda Bell led the field to win the double in both her under-15 female surf race and board race rounds while another Yeppoon under-15 competitor, Tessa Power, claimed two victories in her beach sprint events.

Emu Park's Christopher Blanchard was also unbeatable in his two rounds of the under-17 male surf race.

Round three is on December 17.
