Rockets aim for Cairns? stars

By RACHAEL BORICH

THE Hegvold Stadium roof is set to be raised when the Cairns Marlins hit Rockhampton on Saturday night courting their NBL calibre players.

Rockhampton's Stadium Nightclub Rockets men's basketball team will need to be on their game in this must-win Cavalier Corporation QABL Sunstate division game against Cairns ? a team which scorched their Rockets opposition in Cairns a fortnight ago shooting a hot 56% from the three-point line and 55% from the field.

Cairns' shooting options were endless as the Rockets threw everything at their old rivals.

At the same time Rockets coach Neal Tweedy admits his team was off its game that night.

The Rockets are missing man mountain centre Stuart Reoch (unavailable) and fellow forward

Michael Pennisi remains in the Philippines with the Rockets uncertain of his return date.

Cairns Taipans NBL starter Aaron Grabau is expected to suit-up for the Marlins in Rockhampton and has about five other team-mates who are all capable NBL players.
