Rockhampton set for Days of Thunder

THE title contenders for round two of the World Series Sprintcars series have started rolling into Rockhampton before the main event tomorrow night.

Australian sprintcar champion Brooke Tatnell, who won the opening round at Archerfield on the weekend, is ready to get his first look at the Rockhampton Showgrounds track when most of the competitors are expected to capitalise on a practice session from 5.30pm to 8.30pm today.

Tatnell is one of two full-time drivers in the field, the other is the USA's sole representative Jason Johnson.

Johnson will be seeking a much improved showing in round two after a flat tyre earned him a did not finish at Archerfield. Tatnell leads from Robbie Farr and Max Dumesny.
