Runaways? form sparkles

FROM premiership strugglers to competition frontrunners, Runaways Diamonds have continued their resurgence in this year's Rockhampton Netball Association Senior A division.

Runaways kept their unbeaten start to the season on track with a 38-28 win over Brothers Crimson in their round five encounter at Jardine Park netball courts on Wednesday night.

In a low-scoring affair, the defence of both teams stood tall before an 11-goal final quarter sealed victory for Runaways.

In other games, premiers Buckaneers Blades found their winning touch with a 57-36 victory against Pumas Midnight.

Goal shooter Sally Kuhl scored 42 of the 57 goals posted by Buckaneers after stepping up from A reserve duties in the absence of Lori McGahan.

Wanderers, missing goal ace Angela Horn and Carmen Watt, also showcased their player depth with a 49-15 win over Angels Saints.
