Sarah lived out a dream

By EVAN SCHWARTEN ? AT JUST 19 Sarah Egan has already lived out nearly every young dancer's dream ? working at the Moulin Rouge.

Sarah returned to Rockhampton last Tuesday after completing a six-month stint at the worldfamous cabaret club in Paris. Her weekly schedule required her to do two shows a night, six nights a week, including a performance of the physically taxing Can-Can in every show.

During her time at the club, Sarah performed more than 300 shows in front of an estimated 300,000 people. "It was a fantastic experience but you don't realise how hard it is going to be until you get there,'' she said.

"I'm really pleased to have done it.''

She said she made the most of her time in Paris, seeing all the sights and soaking up what she could of the nightlife.

However, she said the worst part was being so far away from home though she admitted to taking a jar of Vegemite with her.

Club management told her the door was open if she wanted to return to the club in the future but for the moment Sarah says she is happy being home with her family.
