Schoolboys in spotlight

A SCHOOLBOYS rugby union match will take centre stage at Rugby Park when the Queensland Country Championships hit Rockhampton.

But for Rockhampton Grammar and TCC under-18 teams, their top-of-the-table clash will be just that this weekend.

The Rockhampton Secondary Schools Rugby Union round three showdown, between two undefeated teams, is the main game at Rugby Park on Saturday night following the Rockhampton CSR Readymix Brahmans versus Gold Coast match.

At Rugby Park last Sunday, TCC continued their excellent form with a 24-7 win over St Brendan's College.

Grammar winger Robert Watson scored in the final minutes to give his side a 15-6 victory against Combined Rockhampton State High Schools.

In the under-15 competition, fly-half Lewis Neal and inside centre Sam Creedon starred for Grammar in their 50-point win over Combined Rockhampton State High Schools, while TCC also continued their strong form against St Brendan's College.

TCC impressed in their 40-7 win over St Brendan's College in their under-14 clash and in the other game Grammar blindside flanker Simon Gregory scored four tries in his team's 42-0 win over Combined Rockhampton State High Schools.

In under-13's, St Brendan's recorded a 45-point win over TCC and Combined Schools beat Grammar.
