Setting sights on U16 victory

CENTRAL Queensland is still chasing its first win at the Boys Under-16 State Championships on the Gold Coast after yesterday's 5-1 loss to North Queensland.

CQ trailed 2-0 at the break before a second-half penalty from Southside's Ben Green reduced the deficit.

The CQ boys will be out to launch their winning account against the Sunshine Coast tomorrow after enjoying the bye today.

Meanwhile, the CQ under-13 team has its sights on another victory at Rockhampton's Ryan Park this morning.

The home side, fresh from yesterday's bye, tackle the Sunshine Coast.

U13 Day 3 draw at Ryan Park: 10am CQ v Sunshine Coast, 11.30am NWQ v FNQ, 1pm SNQ v NQ, 2.30pm Gold Coast v Wide Bay. Bye ? SWQ.
