Shuker in fine touch for State of Origin clash



? ROCKHAMPTON'S Gavin Shuker continues to lead the charge in Queensland touch football.

Shuker was this week named in the Queensland open men's team along with Justin Mitchell.

Rockhampton's Daniel Withers was named a shadow player for both the open men's and open mixed teams.

Matt Barclay was called up for the Queensland men's 30s team with Matt Pacey named a shadow player.

In the Queensland women's 30s team Rockhampton's Tracey Williamson earned a call-up. Rockhampton's Tanya Shuker and Tammy House and Emerald's Tracey Upton were named as shadows.

House was named in the women's 35s team while Simon Barclay joins the men's 35s team.

Joining the Queensland men's 40s team are Rockhampton's John Fitzgerald and Emerald's Justin Lawrence while the women's 40s team includes Rockhampton's Theresa Chelepy and Emerald's Sandi O'Brien.

Steve Berry was named a shadow player for the men's 45s team.

The State of Origin series against New South Wales will be played in Brisbane on August 4 and 5.
