Sleepless nights for virtual parents
By TAMARA KEMP ? THE sound of a vir- tual baby crying was a reality check for more than 40 North Rockhampton High School year 11 early childhood students.
Their parental skills were put to the test for four days as part of their early childhood assess- ment to see how well they could look after a virtual baby.
For some it was a walk in the park, while for others it was a nightmare.
Teacher Sharyn Kajewski said while some virtual babies keep quiet through the night, other stu- dents told stories of their baby keeping them up every hour of the night crying.
