Some girls dream of a trip to the sin bin with Ben
MANY Rockhampton people are looking forward to a year of raunchy dates with hot guys and girls.
As calendar sales soar across the city, some of the more raunchy titles are proving most popular.
Archer Park Newsagency owner Lyndal Della-Bosca said Miss Indy was the big hit with men at her store, while a one-off rugby league calendar, League of Their Own, was tops with women.
This calendar exposes rugby league to a whole new fan base with top players ? including former Blackwater boy Ben Ross ? displayed in a way you've not seen them before.
It's final proof footy really is a year-round game.
Ms Della-Bosca said the raunchier calendars had topped sales at her store.
Other city newsagents also yesterday reported busy sales. They said there as a wide spread of favourites.
A check of available calendars in the city yesterday found something for just about everybody.
Varieties included nature, wildlife, humour, sport, fashion, crafts, cars and pets.
Most ranged in price from $6 for a small calendar to $25 for a glossy one.
"We find at this time of year it's busy,'' Ms Della-Bosca said.
"A lot of people like to buy them as Christmas presents ... others buy them around now and the rest when they find they need them.''
The store would stock calendars for a couple more weeks.
