Sprintcars roar into Rocky

IF YOU want world-class speedway action then get trackside at the Rockhampton Showgrounds on Wednesday, November 16.

A crowd of about 5000 is expected to watch round two of the World Series Sprintcars, an event which has already caught the interest of Australia's leading sprintcar drivers.

This event is a mix of thunder and lightening in a show of raw speed.

Among the nominees are Queenslanders Todd Wanless and Cameron Gessner while champion New South Wales driver Max Dumesny has also joined the early nominations.

The championships start at Archerfield on Saturday before heading to Rockhampton.

This 19-race series, contested over eight weeks, races on tracks from Queensland, to New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania.
