Stars are on the rise


? ROCKHAMPTON'S Robert Chelepy, Ray Garrett and Stuart Kerr represent the growing Central Queensland rugby union talent making their mark on the State scene.

University prop Kerr will join the exciting Frenchville Pioneers duo in the North Queensland under-19 team at next week's QRU (Queensland Rugby Union) Transition Program in Brisbane.

This year's championships also include teams from NSW Country, Victoria, Western Australia, Queensland Suburban and South Queensland.

North Queensland kick off their campaign against South Queensland at the home of Queensland rugby, Ballymore, next Thursday.

Rockhampton's three representatives will be striving for selection in the Queensland Country team to play a Brisbane selection XV on July 16.
