Taylor lands another Aust jersey for St Brendan?s

ST BRENDAN'S College's David Taylor has continued to place Rockhampton on the national rugby league map.

Taylor, of Blackwater, was named player of the championships on the final day of the Australian Secondary Schools 18 Years Championships in Wagga Wagga, New South Wales yesterday.

The front rower was also selected in the Australian schoolboys team to play the Junior Kiwis.

Taylor's selection follows the inclusion of fellow St Brendan's student Ben Hunt, of Dingo, in the Australian schoolboys 15 years team.

The Australian 18 years team's opening Test is at Melbourne's Olympic Park on July 24 followed by the sec- ond Test at Wynnum's Kougari Oval on July 30.

Fellow Queenslanders in the Australian 18 years team are fullback Darius Boyd (Palm Beach Currumbin), centre Daniel Isaac (Shailer Park) and forward Joel Moon (Morayfield).

Queensland missed the championship final, instead finishing with a comprehensive 34-6 win over the ACT.
