Top-of-table clash

THE winning run of Wanderers and Runaway Diamonds will come to an end when the joint leaders clash in round seven of the Rockhampton Netball Association Senior A division at Jardine Park next week.

The ladder leaders have set-up an intriguing top-of-the-table clash after Wanderers continued their unbeaten start to the season on Wednesday night.

With key shooter Tanya Flamank on the sidelines, Wanderers still proved too strong for Pumas Midnight 52-35.

Wanderers made a blistering start to race to a 28-11 halftime buffer before sharp-shooter Angela Horn continued the assault in the second half.

Runaways Diamonds, who had the bye, will be out to prove their bright start to the season is no fluke against Wanderers.

In other games, Brothers Magenta welcomed an extra burst of shooting experience with the return of Melissa Porter.

But it wasn't enough against premiers Buckaneers Blades, who powered to a 53-31 win while Brothers Crimson edged past Angels Saints 38-20.
