TV has Mikaylah?s name on it

THE Smith family in Walker Street, North Rockhampton has just doubled the size of their television set and 11year-old Mikaylah is the hero.

Mikaylah won The Morning Bulletin's Robots Ultimate Entertainment Pack competition valued at $5178 which included a 58cm Philips widescreen flat TV. Her mum Julie yesterday said Mikaylah seemed to have the Midas touch when it came to winning competitions.

"She has done extremely well,'' she said.

"She has had a few wins before and now every time we enter a competition we say 'put her name on it'.''

Mikaylah said she was "amazed'' when she found out she had won a large TV, a Philips home entertainment system and 25 Fox DVDs.

However, her request for it to go in her bedroom failed.

"Mum said we'll put it in the lounge room,'' the Glenmore State School student said.
