Wedding to be the match of a lifetime

By TAMARA KEMP

IT is not every day you hear of a wedding ceremony being held in the middle of a football field.

But for Gracemere's Ben Lorraway and Erin Robertson, there was no better place for their nuptials.

The couple are set to tie the knot tomorrow afternoon on the oval in front of more than 100 guests.

Mr Lorraway said he and his family had fond memories of the oval.

His father Stephen and mother Julie had been active members of the sports club since 1997.

He said it was his father who started the junior rugby league in Gracemere.

"My father was the president and my mother the secretary of the club,'' Mr Lorraway said.

"Together they worked hard to make Gracemere's oval.'' Mr Lorraway said he grew up representing Gracemere, playing both cricket and football with the club.

Ms Robertson said she and Mr Lorraway were outdoor people. Mr Lorraway said he could not wait for the final whistle to blow.
