White one to watch

CQ CAPRAS rugby league player Javarn White has raised the tryscoring bar in the lead-up to this weekend's QRL Division Carnival in Rockhampton.

White, who will play fullback for the CQ under17 team, showcased his attacking ability at Cyril Connell touch fields on Wednesday night.

Playing for Bulldogs A, White scored four touchdowns to steer his side to an easy 8-2 win in their Rockhampton Touch Association A-grade men's clash against Bulldogs B.

Another player to stamp his authority in attack this week was Trevor Moran, who scored a hattrick in Buckaneers A's 10-3 victory over Cutters B. Moran's team-mate Dan Withers crossed for a double in the seven-point win.

CQU Vipers and Prime Time played out an exciting 3-all draw, with Terry Melrose and Charlie Beresford scoring doubles.

In A-grade ladies action, an Amy Rothery double lifted Shagadelics to a hard-fought 4-1 win over Bulldogs while Buckaneers and Magpies also produced a 3-all draw.
