Willie saves one last prize

POPULAR Mighty Duds goalkeeper Cameron Willie has endured a bittersweet grand final experience.

Willie joined his team's 4-2 loss to Untitled in the Rockhampton Indoor Hockey Association A1 men's decider on Saturday.

Queensland representative Aaron Harmsworth proved the match-winner for Untitled with a hattrick of goals while Matt Gohdes led the Mighty Duds scorers.

However, Willie did have something to celebrate when he and Heather Callaghan were named joint winners of the Pop Lucas Trophy for supporting indoor hockey.

In the A1 women's grand final, Hot Shots produced a thrilling 5-2 extra-time win over Pee Wees.

Kirsty Temperley scored twice for Hot Shots and also bagged a double in Hustlers' 5-2 victory against Lasers in the A2 women's decider.

Todd Harmsworth netted six goals in Keppel Sands Pub's 9-2 victory over Frenchville All Stars in the A2 men's final.

Bullets and Hornets took out the A3 men's and women's titles respectively.
