Win was Withers? family affair

IT was a Withers' family affair in the only A-men's game of the Rockhampton Touch Association competition at Cyril Connell Fields on Wednesday night.

Daniel, Ryan, Clint and Mitchell Withers all scored touchdowns in Buckaneers One's 8-5 win over Buckaneers Two.

Simon Lewis was a standout in the beaten team with a hattrick.

There were no other Amen's games after Sytriht forfeited and withdrew from the competition.

Teams scheduled to play Sytriht for the remainder of the season will now play the bye team in B-grade.

In A-ladies' games, Turkeys sprung one of the upsets of the season defeating first-placed Buckaneers One 4-1.

Australian women's masters player Tammy House was instrumental in the win.

House, along with daughter Sam, scored touchdowns for Turkeys.

The other A-ladies' match was drawn 2-all between Bulldogs and Buckaneers Two.

In the B-grade men's competition, winners were Bulldogs and Cutters.

While in the ladies' B-grade, Blubods, Fillies and Kalka Tactics notched victories.
