Apology to the Young family from Paul Hoolihan

I wrote a letter to the Editor, which was published in The Morning Bulletin on 24 February 2015, which suggested Bruce Young, when the Member for Keppel, may have acted improperly to benefit his family in connection with the staffing of Yeppoon Hospital with staff from Vanguard Health.

I withdraw that suggestion, and apologise to the Young family.

I now understand the Young family has never had any involvement with Vanguard Health and obtained no benefit whatsoever from the arrangements for Vanguard Health to provide staff to Yeppoon Hospital.

Apology to the Young family from The Morning Bulletin

We join with Mr Hoolihan in apologising to the Young family for the publication on 24 February 2015 of Mr Hoolihan's letter to the Editor.

In publishing the letter, it was never our intention to suggest any of the Young family may have engaged in any impropriety.
