Armed robber chased from Caltex truckstop pleads guilty

A MAN has pleaded guilty in court today over an armed robbery at a petrol station in 2012.

Joshua James Kanak has appeared in Rockhampton's district court .

Kanak was armed with a knife when he robbed the Caltex service station on Yaamba Rd in February 2012.

The Bulletin reported at the time that three witnesses gave chase from the truckstop.

The witnesses said the offender entered the truckstop brandishing a knife and went straight into the kitchen.

The man, wearing white socks for gloves, then went  behind the counter and ripped out the cash till.
