Armed robber hits twice

ROCKHAMPTON detectives investigating two weekend armed robberies believe the same man committed both offences and are appealing for public assistance to help locate him.  

Around 7.20pm on Saturday a 17-year-old man was sitting inside his vehicle in a shopping centre car park located on Moores Creek Road at Berserker when a man armed with a knife leant into the car.  

The man forced the victim out of the vehicle and over to a nearby ATM where he was forced to withdraw cash.

Approximately 25 minutes later a 22-year-old man was walking from the car park of a fast food restaurant on Blanchard Street at Berserker to the shop entrance when he was confronted by a man armed with a knife.  

The man demanded that the victim walk towards a nearby ATM however the victim managed to run off before reaching machine.  

No one was injured in either incident and the offender fled on foot in both cases.  

Police described the man as Caucasian, about 165cms tall and was wearing a black and white t-shirt and carrying a green jumper.
