Case of alleged head-stomper from bridge assault adjourned

A ROCKHAMPTON man, 24, who allegedly brutally assaulted a 43-year-old man from Koongal on the Fitzroy Bridge in May, had his court matter adjourned to August 27.

It's alleged that in May, Mathew Graham Reed Chilly and the Koongal man became involved in an argument, during which the victim was knocked to the ground. The victim allegedly hit his head on a railing as he fell. It is alleged Chilly then stomped on the victim's head four times.

Chilly will appear on August 27 at 2pm.
