Attempted carjacking heard on live Brisbane radio
AN attempted carjacking has been broadcast live on radio while a woman was phoning in to discuss her hairpin collection.
The woman was speaking on David Curnow's Evening program on 612 ABC Brisbane when she was interrupted by a man who was swearing and shouting.
The woman was waiting in the car with her husband for their son to finish a training session at the Salisbury SES depot when the man tried to get into their car, according to an ABC News report.
It was 9.40pm on Monday and the woman was in the middle of her story.
"Some are very small actually. I've got a few big ones. But I've collected them from places like Vienna, parts of Germany," she told listeners.
The man was then heard to ask, aggressively: "Are we being cheeky?"
