Battlers make ‘removal' to Emerald

FOR Trevor Woodeson, business is on the move.

The owner of Rockhampton-based Aussie Battler Removals, works alongside his wife and son, who has recently taken the family-orientated business out to Emerald.

Mr Woodeson and his wife took over the removalist business four years ago.

The business had been running since its establishment in 1996.

Since their ownership, the business has grown from one truck to four, and Mr Woodeson shows no signs of stopping despite a slow start in Emerald.

"We've been in Emerald since October," he said.

"People are only just starting to realise we're out there."

Mr Woodeson said he wanted to get the business out there to give people a more affordable, professional service.

"A few clients in Emerald have said the other local removalists weren't doing a good enough job," he said.

"We want to be the cheaper local option."

Mr Woodeson said in the long term he would like to get two or three trucks based out at Emerald.

"The new truck out in Emerald will service the whole of the Central Highlands," he said.

"I think it's going to be great."

Mr Woodeson said Aussie Battlers not only does private jobs, but also caters for offices and corporate moves.

"We've even had a few mining companies enquiring out at Emerald," he said.

"People are only just starting to realise we're  out there."
