‘Australia’s top dirt bike riding coach’ in Biloela
DIRT bike riders young and old will have the opportunity to be taught by Greg Moss, a man with almost 40 years experience in the sport.
Go Girl Racing Australia (GGRA) in conjunction with the Moss Institute are hosting a weekend coaching clinic at the Biloela Dirt Riders club, giving riders an opportunity to fast-track their development.
This event marks the second consecutive year Moss has been to Biloela with GGRA president Nicole McIntyre reporting that Moss was excited to jump on board again.
“Greg Moss is a great supporter for the development of females in motocross and all our initiatives, especially riders in remote areas,” McIntyre said.
“We ran this weekend clinic last year and it provided the opportunity for the riders to have a great coach to attend and the opportunity the bigger cities have.
“Being able to bring him to these small communities is about getting around Australia and promoting GGRA as well giving this opportunity to people that don’t get the support that they should in the sport.”
At last year’s clinic, Moss emphasised the importance of technique.
“They’re country kids and they’re pretty tough in nature,” Moss said.
“The general feeling of parents initially in this sport is the kids have just got to try harder.
“We break that down like any other sport, we teach the kids and parents that you got to go out and develop skills, not just push them faster and hurt them.”
GGRA is a non-for-profit corporation that supports the growth and development of dirt bike riders.
GGRA provide classes to all riders from as young four years old around Australia and also have a team of six of Australia’s top female riders representing them.
March 21-22 are the dates fro the Biloela Dirt Riders clinic with Greg Moss.
The cost is $300 and bookings are essential.
